Sarah nervously stepped out of the elevator and with Akira close behind, made her way into the large garden like space. There was a large tree in the middle of the space, and standing in front of it were two people.
The first was a small elderly laby in a red blouse and a yellow skirt. Behind her and to the side a little was a taller woman a few years older than Sarah in dark jeans and a black hoodie with a Luxray by her side. The Luxray must have smelled us because it turned, causing both women to do the same as well.
"Are either one of you Elder Hawk?"

The older of the two smiled warmly and waved her petite had a little. "That would be me, yes. You must be Sarah. Am I correct?" She walked up to the girl and her large Pokemon. "My, this must be your partner. And to see he's already evolved into his final evolution!" She chuckled as she petted the Flygon's large head softly. She always seemed to have a way with Pokemon, whether they be bad or good. "You must be very close.

Sarah smiled at the older woman. "Actually Akira just evolved last week. But yes, we are very close. He's not my only partner though." With that, Sarah pulled out her other poke-ball and summoned her other partner, a Braviary. The large bird landed and squawked at being woken up, but then nudged his partner playfully. In response, Sarah stroked the Braviary's beak and turned to the elder. "This is my other partner, Aero." Then Sarah remembered why she was there and offered the ranger applications to Elder Hawk. "I believe you wanted these?"

"Yes, yes. Thank you very much." She smiled kindly and quickly looked through the application. "Well, I don't see anything wrong! I approve of you, Akira, and Aero as official Unova Rangers." She chuckled slightly as she walked towards a Picknick table with a bag on it, and began to search through it thoughtfully. She pulled out a key and three Pokeballs, which had white tops and a red and yellow striped bottom. "These here are Ranger Pokeballs. They were specially made by Mechanics at the Ranger Union in Almia. I'd appreciate it if you put your Partners in these. They replace Pokeballs completely, acting just like them but for Rangers only." She then handed the three items to Sarah, an then a small key. "You will be residing in room D1 on the Fourth Level. Wolfy here will take you there with Ciris." She motioned to the darkly clothed girl.
"Eeyup!" She replied, her words thickly coated in southern slang. She turned to her Luxray, muttered a "Return, Charge," and then took another ball in her hand, while she clipped Carge's to her yellow belt. "This 'ere is Ciris. You may wanna keep an eye on 'er." She replied, throwing the ball into the air.
A second later, a dark Fox Pokemon, around the size of a human really, if not larger, appeared, red mane broad and daring while bright teal eyes mischievous and curious. She crawled up to Sarah on all fours, crimson claws making a light clicking. Once she was in front of the girl, she stood on her hind legs and sniffed slightly. "A new one?" Though her mouth didn't move, the sound of a slightly scratchy and feminine voice emitted from her. "Jeeze, they're pouring in like Arceus' business!"

Sarah looked nervously at Ciris. Both of her partners tensed and Akira went as far as to gently sniff at the new comer. Sarah gently waved him back before returning Aero to his new pokeball. The large bird dissapeared without question and stayed in . Sarah then turned to Elder Hawk.
"Akira dosn't like pokeballs that much, can I keep him out?"

"Of course." She nodded with a slight smile, as Ciris returned to her Ranger's side. "Actually, most Rangers, including Top Rangers, keep at least one of their Partner Pokemon out at a time. Partner Pokemon don't usually like Pokeballs, and would rather stay free from the tight space."

Sarah cocked her head to the side and smiled."Cool," She then turned to the Flygon, who was looking at her nerviously. "You hear that buddy, you don't have to go in a ball." Akira almosed seemed to smile at this. Sarah then turned to The older girl and the Luxray. "Are you going to show me my room or what?"

The girl nodded. "Yup! C'mon, Ciris." She said, and she began to walk with her Zoroark towards the Elevator, passing Akira and Sarah with small smiles (though, Ciris' seemed a bit more... evil). "Ya ought to get'a roommate soon enough. Then, we'll notify ya. That sound good?" She looked over her shoulder with a smile.

Sarah nodded and followed her into the ekevator. Flygon stepped in front of her and cooed softly. She rubbed his snout. "Well, this is it Akira. This is our new life."
