GUEST's life had become interesting here, more interesting than he had originally thought it would be. In fact, it appeared that everything that happened to him had some sort of excitement to it. GUEST realized he was not that much of an exciting man, yet excitement seemed to crowd around him. He had completed all the harsh missions, gained 3 Partners. This had became his life, and it everything he breathed now. Today was payday. The day it would all pay off and he would finally become what he truly wanted to be. Yesterday he had been given the title Top Ranger, but until he talked to the Elder Hawk he did not make it official to himself. He didn't celebrate just yet, he was too nervous as to what the Elder Hawk might say to him.
Perhaps after this if everything went alright he would do some sort of minor celebration. Just something to pat him on the back. He had already skipped out on his day of no work. After today he had work to do, Top Ranger for sure wouldn't be easy. He stepped into the area known as the Top Level. This is where all the Top Rangers and the Elder did their stuff. He had even heard rumors that the top people ate their lunch up here. Walking further into the room he stood up straight, closing his eyes silently he exhaled. Opening them slowly he said, "GUEST here."

An elderly woman dressed in red and white sat at a small picknick table on the top level of the Ranger Center, petting a small Cottonee on the head as it rubbed her. Suddenly, the elevator that leaded up to this level from the bottom floor dinged open, and the little green Pokemon ran off, startled. The Elder turned and watched as a dark-haired boy walked onto the lush grass that covered the topmost part of the center, and was shaded by the huge tree that was above. He spoke a hello, naming himself as 'GUEST'.
"Ah, so you have shown!" She stated, standing from her seat and walking up to him, nodding slightly. She looked him up and down with her emerald eyes, smiling ever so slightly. "Well, Guest, you are here to be accepted as a Top Ranger, correct?" Before he could answer, she yelled up into the tree, right hand cupping her wrinkled mouth. "Wolfy! Get down here! We need Ciris!"
A girl in a jacket with cerulean-blue headphones around her neck and a small belt attached to her waist was suddenly planted on the ground in a kneeling position, green leaves falling around her. Not a moment later, there was a large bird Pokemon beside her, tan in color and a red and yellow, smooth banner-like crown flowing from it's forehead. It squawked a "Pidgeot!" as it batted it's huge wings for a moment.
The girl stood, and wiped both hands on each other, making dust fly around them in a small cloud. "Right 'ere, ma'am." She replied in a thick country accent. "This 'im?" She nodded towards the boy.
"Indeed." Elder Hawk looked at him approvingly.

GUEST looked upon the woman he knew well to be the one dubbed as Elder Hawk. She was an aged woman, but it was only understandable with her current title. GUEST questioned her past sometimes. He wondered how she got to be at this rank. Years of devotion to being a Ranger? Maybe she was born into a position in which she could gain Elder Hawk. GUEST pushed the thoughts of her past out of his mind. He wasn't here to interrogate her or anyone else. From behind GUEST Floatzel appeared, who had been quite a bit behind him. GUEST had moved quite quickly through all the floors it took to get here, whereas Flaotzel moved at a much slower pace. Floatzel had really relaxed yesterday, and it showed in its lax behavior at the moment. GUEST bowed down to the Elder Hawk swiftly, regaining his posture after just a moment.
He was a Top Ranger now, should he still feel as if he had to be so respectful to the lady? GUEST turned to say Baylee. She was odd for sure, but he didn't know all too much about her. All he knew was she talked a little funny compared to him, acted a little odd, and was a Top Ranger. GUEST didn't consider a role model, far from it. She was just here, and perhaps she would be a friend and a maybe she would help him develop his Top Ranger skills. He spoke, "Is there anything in which you request of me, Madam?" GUEST was curious as to what he had to do here. He looked to Baylee and spoke, "Nice to see you Baylee." His kindness was sort of artificial, but he made it as sincere as he could.

The girl, Baylee, gave him a two-fingered salute with her right hand as Elder Hawk explained, "This is your test. You will go against Cirus here," She motioned towards the Pidgeot, "And we will see if you pass or fail. It's simple, really. Just catch Cirus, and you win."
The Large Bird Pokemon seemed to nod as it batted it's large wings once again.

(Its not a problem, there wasn't much to be done xD)
GUEST looked at the Elder Hawk, whom explained to him in which trials he would have to complete in order to pass. It was actually one simple thing, and she even stated it as if it was an easy task. He looked at the bird Pokemon, noticing its massive size he was slightly degraded by such. However, in the same manner he knew that size really didn't make too much of a difference to him. He had taken on things that were much bigger than this one at times. However, a lot of them were wild or loosely trained, so he was capable of trapping them with his capture disc with ease. Since Baylee was a Ranger she had more than likely built a heavy bond with this thing, so roping it into his capture might prove to be a problem.
Or the Pokemon could let itself freely be captured by the device. However that was very unlikely, especially since this thing was so massive and could very well house much power and resistance to his capture disc. GUEST reached down into his deep cloak pocket and removed a jet black Styler. This was GUEST's only Styler, and it let him down very rarely. Of course, he had seen no other with more than one Styler, and a lot of people had little experience with theirs. However, GUEST had trained with his a lot, and it hopefully would not let him down. Especially in this situation in which he had to prove his worth to become a Pokemon Ranger. "I will try my best to be the victor, however I'm sure Baylee won't have made this easy." He looked to Baylee with a quick smile, then took a step back.
The Styler made a light noise and from it shot a capture disc. The disc moved quickly over toward the Pokemon dubbed as Cirus and quickly made its first rotation. GUEST's Styler was of basic orientation, so it did not move any faster or anything than that of a normal disc. However, with the amount of experience the Styler and the Disc had gained it would hopefully be enough to catch Cirus and grant him the rank of Top Ranger. But as of now, it was only beginning its second rotation around the Pokemon. Victory seemed forever away to GUEST.

Ciris easily flaped her large wings and lifted high in the sky, as Baylee grinned and shouted a loud "Fly!" to her Partner. After a brief look at GUEST with a teal gaze, the large Bird Pokemon soared into the tree above's massive branches, taking shelter in their coverage.
"You may wanna follow 'er." Baylee remarked, looking at a brief fully in the trees and as the sun seemed to pierce through the leaves for a brief second. "She's pretty good with hidin'."
The Elder Hawk sat at her little Picknick Table, scrawny legs crossed over the other and bouncing lightly as she smiled a bit. Her emerald eyes watched intently as she wondered just what might GUEST do.

GUEST had two successful rotations when all of a sudden the Pokemon had flapped its wings and flied into the tree's protection. GUEST was unaware of how he was to attack at this point in time, for the Styler's disc did not have this much range in which he could continue wrapping around the Pokemon. This was especially more so since the Pokemon was taking cover in a tree. GUEST dropped one of his specially made Ranger Ball to the ground, in which Confagrigus appeared from. GUEST motioned for Floatzel to stay back, in which Floatzel did well. GUEST jumped on top of the coffin Pokemon and spoke, "Y, pursue." GUEST held out his Styler, and the little disc returned to him swiftly.
Directing his Pokemon, The Confagrigus used its ghost spider like structure to moved swiftly up the same tree in which the Bird Pokemon was. GUEST knew he was basically just buying time and attempting to tire the Pokemon, but it would be worth it hopefully. As the Confagrigus neared the top of the tree GUEST could see the Pokemon in clear sight. GUEST was agile, and he felt this was necessary. He jumped from the Coffin Pokemon onto a branch he had detected would hold his weight. This got him closer to the enemy Pokemon. Confagrigus held onto the tree with ghost-like fingers, there in case GUEST would need her to maneuver around the tree more.
GUEST held out his Styler, and from it shot his Capture Disc once more. The disc shot out towards the Pokemon he had to capture and began its revolutions around it. GUEST was prepared to fall back onto Y if this Pokemon left the area again, but as of now he felt he was doing what he had to do to buy himself time to think and subdue the bird Pokemon using his capture disc.

Ciris turned her head swiftly as she heard the branch lurch. She gazed at GUEST for a moment, screeched loudly, and batted her wings again, not only raising higher in the tree, but making the branches nearby to sway violently and drop many leaves.
Just as she flew away, a Whimsicott fell out from a higher branch, and landed directly on top of GUEST. "Whimsi Cott!" It screamed, squirming a good amount in surprise. A moment later, it fell onto it's fluffy branch, gazing up at the boy for a moment with piercing lightly-colored eyes, and scampered away.

GUEST was unprepared for what was to happen, for honestly he hadn't thought anything of the sort would happen. GUEST had thought that if anything the Pokemon would retreat the area, leaving him with some ground to make up. However, a whole different problem presented itself by the the movements of this Pokemon. It flapped its wings and knocked down leaves of all sorts. GUEST coughed lightly, disliking being covered by the leaves and debris. Soon a little Pokemon landed on his head, and then went away quickly. As the branches that GUEST was on and the ones around rocked violently, he almost lost his balance. GUEST edged toward the tree, holding on securely.
GUEST look at Y, who glared back prepared to save him in the case he would need help. Using his foot to move a small little bunch of leaves out of way way, GUEST edged back onto the branch. GUEST grabbed a Ranger Ball from his side and dropped it off the side of the edge. GUEST placed his Styler back into his primary hand, his right. GUEST then called off the revolutions of the disc, realizing at this point he wouldn't get too far. The Ranger ball hit the ground and from it appeared Z. GUEST spoke, "Z, get X up here." Floatzel looked puzzled slightly by this command and walked forward slowly. Sawk was not much taller than X, but it had tons of muscle and such.
Sawk walked toward the Floatzel and grabbed it awkwardly. GUEST looked to Y, "Help 'em out a bit, Y." GUEST turned to the target Pokemon and employed his disc into circling once more, however this time it wasn't going to circle for long. Sawk threw the Floatzel up as far as it could into the tree. Y had to descend the tree just a bit in order to grab the Floatzel from the air, and place it on top of itself. Floatzel held on for dear life, but was still prepared to fight. Sawk stood at the bottom of the tree sort of boredly, waiting for something to happen. GUEST saw that now Floatzel was now with Y, which gave him the opportunity to do what he wished. "Floatzel, assist me if you would please," Combining Floatzel's power with is Styler he attempted to launch a large bubble at the enemy, hoping to keep it contained. GUEST then had his capture disc circle the target. This might work a bit, however it more than likely wouldn't mark the end of this battle.
(X is a Floatzel, Y is a Confagrigus, and Z is a Sawk. Just in case referred to the wrong Pokemon once or twice above. Also, to avoid a bit of confusion on your part.)

(Alrighty~ Thanks.)
The bird Pokemon squawked it's name, but it wasn't the name of Pidgeot. Instead, it was a loud "Unfezant!" and said Flying Bird glared at GUEST as the Disk went around it once more. "Un, Unfezant!" It repeated, batting it's wings.
Bailey couldn't help but laugh a bit on the ground. "Well, he's decent. But he hasn't figured it out yet." She shook her head as the Unfezant shrilled a loud call, making most of the Pokemon scatter from the tree.
Elder Hawk chuckled, shaking her head. "He should get it eventually, Wolfy. Be patient."

GUEST closed his eyes and breathed slowly. Gah, this thing was of two orientations it appeared. It had the ability to be two Pokemon, like some sort of shape shifter. He had heard of a Pokemon by the name of Ditto that existed in previous regions, with the ability to swap between Pokemon. But, he didn't see any type of purple gunk transformation. It was different than that. Like some sort of illusion playing out right in front of him. GUEST had to think, what did this. Nothing. Nothing did this. GUEST couldn't remember any experience he had with this type of thing. Perhaps the answer was in his own thought.
Maybe the pressure was getting to GUEST and he had been fighting an Unfezant the entire time. Maybe GUEST was becoming more insane than in his utmost terrible dreams. It couldn't be, there was some other conclusion. GUEST thought. Its an Illusion, I am making it up... GUEST turned to see the Elder Hawk and Baylee speaking. By the way they spoke there was indeed a trick to behold, but what. GUEST realized his own answer was in his own thoughts. An Illusion. This was true, this was what it was. A Pokemon that was rare had the ability to do such. Leave it to the crazed Baylee to own the thing. GUEST just had to think of a way to get rid of its Illusion. GUEST turned to Floatzel, who was there preparing to use another Poke Assist.
GUEST spoke out loud, obviously in hopes for Elder Hawk and Baylee to hear, "I'm sorry in advance Baylee, but I find this extremely necessary..." GUEST smiled, this was what he enjoyed. Going out of line to succeed, and it would almost seem normal. Baylee used an Illusion, what was stopping him for counteracting her with some deeply unfair move? GUEST stood up on the branch and spoke once more, "X, find a branch, Y, get ready." X jumped back onto a branch that would support itself, Y just held on there awaiting something to do. GUEST jumped up a branch, nearing the Pokemon. He looked it with a bored expression for a second and then held up his Styler. Would this work? Would it be worth it?
GUEST's capture disc returned to him swiftly, stopping the circling process. "I know very little on this specimen, but my most accurate guess is that it must be in its original state. I also know very little on how to make it become that state. However, I have an idea. Get Ready X.. Y." GUEST smiled and deployed the capture disc. The disc went in a straight line toward the target. It didn't waver, didn't rotate. It didn't begin a revolutionary movement, it just went forward. As the disc neared the Pokemon, GUEST jumped off from the branch he was standing on. Y quickly snapped from the tree, catching GUEST in the air and descending to the ground quickly, but landing on its feet. GUEST held out his Styler in attempts to return his capture disc before it retained any damage. Hopefully, just ramming his little disc into the Pokemon would cause minimal damage but cause it to revert to its normal state.
X realized this was its chance. As the disc returned to GUEST it shot out a bubble at the target Pokemon, being controlled partially by GUEST's Styler. X then jumped down to the ground, being caught by Z. Z set X down and smiled widely. "Go ahead, Z." GUEST said in an almost bored tone. He was unsure if this was really allowed, or if he would get scalded for going to such measures, but what he was to do felt extremely necessary. Z swung its karate hand at the tree brutally, making the entire tree shake and rumble. If everything went in accordance to plan GUEST will have secured himself a safe distance while making Zoroark a Zoroark, immobilizing it in a bubble, and then furthermore knocking it from the tree. This would hopefully take the battle down to a more suitable area and allow him to truthfully begin capturing the Pokemon.
(This got longer than I wanted it to be. I also did a bit more than I wanted, but I felt it would be a fun little post.)

(Great Arceus, man! You make my posts look like postcards!)
Ciris was confused as the disk hit her, looking at it and beginning to try and poke it with her small hand. She had taken the form of a Whimsicott, and quite enjoyed landing on the Ranger's head. Though, now she was a bit confused. Had he figured it out, or was this just a mistake. Then, the disc returned quickly back to GUEST, and the little fluffy Pokemon couldn't help but smirk as a bubble concealed it.
For a split second, there was a bright change, and bright teal eyes stared at the Ranger while crimson claws raked at the bubble and a broad red mane sprouted. Though, as quickly as it came, it was gone in a flash, it's replacement being a Carracosta's dark blue shell. Yet, the bright Teal eyes stayed, seeming to grin almost maliciously.
(See?! See?! It looks like a postcard! /fails. Only thing that's close to your posts is my story The AutoWolf, and it takes me a week to write a chapter! /wins little-y.)

GUEST was getting more and more annoyed by this thing. He knew as to what it was, and it kept changing anyway. GUEST didn't really have a plan as to how he would win this battle, for it appeared as if the Pokemon would continually keep changing forms. GUEST knew quite well that this Pokemon could not possibly be caught when it was in a transformed or an illusion state. So, he had to get it into its original state. GUEST's initial hope was hitting it with a his little Styler would cause damage, and force it back into its Zoroark form, but now he realized his Poke Assists and Styler would do the effect of weakening it. GUEST really disliked this Pokemon, and it was surely not the easiest task to overcome.
He wondered if Elder Hawk would not allow him to become a Top Ranger if he was to utilize all of his Pokemon in a small window of time. Maybe she would look at it in the way that GUEST had to have used all those Pokemon, and did not deserve the position. This couldn't happen, it just couldn't. He would however, still utilize all of his Pokemon in his strategies as he had so far done. However, he would take control more Poke Assists. GUEST knew that this Pokemon would be pretty much immune to his ghost type assist that Y could use. Y's assist is essential, without it it might prove a challenge against the Dark Type. However, Z was still here. Z thus far had not been used that much at all. Z's Poke Assist would be double as effective, and would hopefully get the enemy into its Zoroark form as quickly as possible.
GUEST prepared his Styler as the enemy Pokemon now transformed into a giant turtle like Pokemon. As far as GUEST knew it was still Dark type no matter how much it changed shape, so he could still perform Water Type assists normally and Fighting Type assists would still be super effective. GUEST said to his Pokemon, "X, Assist me please.." Floatzel nodded and by focusing its power in with GUEST's Styler, a bubble was formed as the small disc neared the turtle. The Bubble inflated until it was just a tad larger than that of the Pokemon, and it was then flung at the enemy. These assists did damage, but not much. "Z, help us out a bit." Sawk nodded and allowed GUEST to use his Poke Assist. This Assist would make GUEST's Styler do twice as much damage, meaning he could get this done in half as many moves.
GUEST then began work on inflating another bubble, still standing on top of the Confagrigus so he could maneuver the field faster than he could normally by using Y's long range jumps. GUEST then shot the same size bubble as the previous at the enemy Pokemon, followed by circling it tightly in hopes of dealing excess damage with his Fighting Assisted Styler. GUEST was unaware of how effective this method would be, but as far as he was concerned this was his best bet in this battle.

Ciris was now growling lowly as she slightly glared at the Ranger, watching as bubbles were shot towards it. This for was quite slow on land, so evading wasn't likely t work. The little attacks' effect wasn't as large, though, as they would be if she stayed in her original form, though with so many at once, it didn't really matter. She knew that transforming once again, and so recent after the previous, wouldn't be fair; her Partner had clearly stated that only one transformation per five minutes, and it was far from that time.
The girl had also gone over that she should keep one thing the same every time she changed, and that was her eyes. Those were the most definitive thing about her, and as of now, they were burning with a competitive fire. There seemed to be a throaty laugh emitting from her, now, as her true form showed fully now, on all fours. She was grinning, and slightly rocking on her clawed paws. "Good, good..." Even though her mouth didn't move, a scratchy feminine voice erupted from her loudly. "You're thinking now..."
Th Elder Hawk was nodding slightly, as now both Ranger and Pokemon were going head on, no strings attached. She was surprised by how strategic GUEST was, and was quite impressed, actually. Now he had a stronger chance of capturing the Zoroark. "Ciris is quite shifty." She chuckled at her own joke, "But GUEST has done very well..."
(I've always though of Ciris' voice as Envy's, from Fullmetal Alchemist... Wendy Powell would be awesome for her, I think. So if you really wanna know what she sounds like (in my head, at least) just look up a video of Envy on Youtube.... I sound retarded, don't I?)

(Not really xD.)
Perhaps this was a success? Or maybe in this form the Pokemon only was even more capable of tapping into its true strength. Unlikely, but GUEST had to weigh all possibilities in this such encounter. GUEST had not yet found a pattern in how Zoroark moved in which he could utilize to make this capture easier. All he had figured out thus far was that this thing transformed every few minutes and when it did the way to make it turn back into its basic form was to inflict damage to the Pokemon. GUEST figured all the realizations he had made were the ones he could make, figuring out even more would be very unlikely. However, he once more had to keep his mind open to all possibilities. GUEST turned to all of his Pokemon, they were all ready to assist him and help him with this capture.
GUEST's eyes shifted slowly over to Baylee. It annoyed him that she had this Pokemon. It was powerful, and had tons of capabilities. He really wondered what she did to capture this thing and own it. Perhaps the Elder Hawk gave it to her, for such would make sense. This was a decently new Ranger Center and he could very easily see the Elder Hawk obtaining Zoroark. A Master of Illusions, what a joke. It could shape shift at its will, and it was a Master of Annoyances. It was a shame had to catch the thing with his Styler. Beating it to a pulp seemed more realistic to GUEST. As the Pokemon spoke to him without even moving its mouth GUEST listened closely. I'm thinking now?! I've been thinking this entire time! Its not my fault you have are an illusionist. Maybe I happen to be a cruel little being, and I will beat you until you cannot talk to me with some mystical power!
GUEST cleared his mind. His insanity spoke to him, as clear as if someone was directly behind him speaking the very words in a cold voice. It talked to him in first person, in which he sometimes didn't even refer to himself in. What was it? GUEST exhaled silently and spoke , "You can speak without even moving your mouth. I'm impressed. I didn't think you have any more little tricks..." GUEST's capture disc was still there, but it had stopped spinning as it had gotten Zoroark into its original form. "... however, if you do have any more tricks," GUEST said, " Please show them to me now, I don't want to be surprised when you pull out some more foolery..."
GUEST smiled widely, this made him think on what to do next. GUEST found himself in a position where he was doing alright. He had this Pokemon in a state where it could be captured if he put enough effort into it. If this thing only changed every few minutes, he still had a few seconds. Confagrigus began crawling closer to the Zoroark. GUEST said silently, "Renew your Poke Assist, Z." Sawk nodded and did as told, renewing the Fighting type assist that would half the amount of loops it would take. "X, prepare yourself for restricting this thing again.." X did as told as well and nodded. X stood in a prepared position, ready to use its water assist to strike the Zoroark upon GUEST's will.
GUEST moved his Styler in a few quick flourishes, and the capture disc began its revolutions around the Zoroark. GUEST slowly tightened the loops as they happened, still using the Fight Type assist to help out. GUEST then inflated a bubble, swiftly firing it at the Zoroark. GUEST used tons of those bubbles, however he found immobilizing Zoroark was a priority with its speed and ability to changed to winged beasts. GUEST kept his revolutions around the Pokemon as quick as he could manage, hoping to capture this thing quickly. He realized that his disc had yet to be attacked, so its health remained at a very decent level. This was good, for initially he thought this might be a problem.
