Louis thought to himself when he first arrived. The Ranger Center, eh? Nice. Finally away from home. He hated the feeling he got when being on the sea. The sickening aroma of salt water. Yuck. The only thing he actually liked about the beach was the sand. Nothing more. He approached the giant center, and walked right ahead. When he got inside he was amazed of the fresh scent and organization of the welcoming lounge. He stepped up to the desk and spoke to the lady with a nice voice. "Can I apply to becoming a Pokemon Ranger? It really means a lot to me if I can.", he said worried of the answer. He really needed this position. He was shaky because he didn't want to return home. Not after running away. He had to move on.

"Oh, you're Louis, right?" She asked, smiling brightly as her blue-green hair bounced on her shoulders. "We've been expecting you. Here's your application," She handed him a clipboard and a pen with a Pokeball for the top, "Take your time." She smiled kindly up at him, her yellow eyes bright and caring. She was obviously perfect for this job. "There are seats to your right, on that wall," She pointed to her left briefly, "And do your best not to step or sit on any Pokemon. Thank you."

"Oh, thank you!", he said ecstatic. "I will be careful not to harm the Pokemon. Thank you again.", he said overwhelming with joy. He walked over to a nice, plush couch with a jump in his step. He was so happy and it started to become obvious. His face turned red and his hands were shaky. He finished his application and got up to turn it in. He walked carefully avoiding a cheerful Oshawott and a fluffy Cottonee. "Here you go. If I get accepted, I promise I will be respectful and my Pokemon won't harm any one here.", he said and awaited an answer from the nice lady at the desk.

She didn't reply as she flipped through the pages of the clipboard, humming an "Ah" or a "Good, good" every few seconds. Not ten seconds later, she took out a stamp-like object, and smashed it onto the very last page of the application, pulling it off a second later to show a blue "ACCEPTED" and a Ranger Sign shaped like a winded circle. "Congratulations, Louis, you've been accepted."
She smiled slightly as the boy grinned widely. "Well, by me, at least. Now you have to go to the very topmost level of the Ranger Center to meet with Elder Hawk. Here, take these with you," She handed him a rather bulky green stylus and his application back, "Elder Hawk will make her final decision on whether you are worthy or not to be a Ranger. Good luck."

"Thank-you. I will be on my way to the Elder Hawk, I suppose. Will this elevator take me to the top level?", he asked. She nodded calmly, and he stepped up to the elevator, and press the clear button. He waited for the elevator, and walked right in. He then pressed the button for the top floor. I hope it's not hard to find her, he thought to himself. After a few minutes, the elevator door opened to a grassy, almost park-like top level with a large tree shading everything.
