Auran grumbled slightly as he was pulled off, but walked, nonetheless.
"Why should I help?" Ciris asked with a slight snort, "I didn't do anything to him." But, before she could even cross her arms, she was returned to her Ranger Pokeball by Baylee.
"Sorry 'bout her..." She sated, pocketing the small ball as Charge came up with a slight growl, also giving support to the Lucario. "She's quite the stubborn one... eheh..." Looking down at her side, she mumbled to herself, "A little too Stubborn..."

Ryu had a bit of a depressed expression at Auran's grumble when Ryu had so kindly picked him off the forest floor. Does he hate me? She thought, worry showing up in the tiny frown. But, no verbal complaints arose from the aura-seeing Pokemon. He slowly walked, with the awkward pace that Ryu expected from one who had a twisted ankle. She looked gladly at Charge, who seemed to be helping in his own special way. Ryu's smile returned at their teamwork.
Ciris's comment made her eyes roll a bit. An arrogant, childish side of her complained about it. But you started it, Ciris! She quieted her thoughts, and only saw the stubborn Zoroark be transported into the small Pokeball that kept her contained out of the corner of her eye. Wolfy apologized about the dark-type illusionist's temper, and mumbled to herself something that Ryu couldn't catch.
She locked her eyes on a sturdy stick that would be perfect as a temporary crutch for the Lucario she was helping. Her foot shot out towards it, dug underneath it, and then jerked upwards, causing the stick to fly into the air a bit and into her outstretched and unoccupied hand. She clasped the stick and held it, supporting Auran with the other hand. It was a nifty trick, she admitted, feeling a tiny bit of pride. But, without many friends, it was easy to find time for practicing.
She looked back up at Baylee. "No worries about Ciris." She stated coolly. "Pokemon will be whatever they want to be, right? Nothing you can do about that." She focused back on helping Auran, and slowly walked him forward, glad that she was being helped, and generally glad to help.

"Well, I could've raised her t'ah be more polite, but no, I just had t'ah have a Mischievous Pokemon..." Bailey grumbled, crossing her arms as she continued to walk behind Auran, in case he did fall, somehow.
Auran was limping awkwardly, though after a while, he was just barely able to place his paw on the ground again. He winced in pain every time it prodded the surface, but continued anyways. He was just a bit too high-and-mighty, in his mind, to complain about it.

Ryu barely noticed Wolfy's comment, too focused on the Lucario. He was wincing every time his injured black paw hit the ground, and she felt it necessary to help out with this. Then, she instinctively locked her fingers around the stick, and offered it to Auran. "Would you like this?" She offered, hoping that the blue Aura-seer would take it. "It might help you out." Her eyes were pleading.
She only wanted to help, after all.

With a sigh, the Lucario reluctantly took the stick in his paw. "I suppose..." He looked up at the student ranger, with a small gleam in his eyes, "Thank you. You'll be a fine Ranger, one day."
Baylee sighed, relieved.

Ryu's eyes seemed to be relieved as the Aura-seer Pokemon took the temporary crutch. Then, when he locked eyes with her...and actually praised her...Ryu's eyes seemed to sparkle more than silver. "Th-thank you. She managed to choke out, but it sounded like a forced whisper. "...Auran."
She really was thankful, and she felt like the luckiest person in the world as she continued walking the Lucario home.

No, no, I should be thanking you." The Lucario grunted as he humped himself through the forest, Charge and Ryu by his sides. "This won't work for long, but it will do for now. I'm just happy you had found it."

Ryu smiled as the Lucario's words, her heart full of joy at the praise. As Auran limped along with her by his side, she watched it cautiously for any signs of breaking. It seemed like Auran knew about this too, for he cautioned that it wouldn't last forever. He complimented her, too, putting a shy smile on her face.
"I'm just glad that I got the chance to help such a wonderful Pokemon like yourself."

Auran snorted slightly as he looked ahead of himself, "I am far from wonderful, I am afraid. Very far." He grunted slightly as he hopped over a small root with ease, "I will need more training for that."

Far from wonderful? All Pokemon were wonderful, in Ryu's opinion, but this Lucario seemed unsure. She heard a grunt from him as he easily leapt over a tree root. "All Pokemon are wonderful in their own special way." Ryu stated lovingly, but rather plainly. She meant it, too.

"Believe what you wish, but I still do not think I am Wonderful or anything near it." He exclaimed as he humped himself along even farther, "I believe only the best can be wonderful."

Ryu frowned. Did this Lucario really think that he wasn't perfect? I guess that just makes him strive harder... she thought. She also thought that reassuring him that he was perfect might not do any good. But it never hurt to try, right? "You are the best." She soothed, with a calm and mature voice. "You are the best." Her second set of words were dramatically toned down to a mere whisper, but Ryu didn't care. It was her voice, she could do what she wanted with it.
Ryu was Ryu after all. And no one could ever take that from her.
