Ryu looked around the room, then chose a front row desk to sit at. Her first day of Ranger School was beginning, and she would have to be ready for it. She was almost jittery with anticipation about her teacher. Would she be nice? Would she teach well? Ryu was almost sure of that, but she was still jittery. She'd learn so much just today.
"I'm so excited! Today's gonna be awesome!"

As the bell rang Cora Acher, or rather Professor Acher, walked into the class. She looked around at the couple of students that were getting settled and then cleared her throat.
"Well, welcome to your History of Pokemon class. I'm going to be your teacher for the rest of the semister. Ny name is Cora Acher but you can call me Prof. Acher. Now, let's see who we have this simester..." With that, she started to take attendence.

Ryu's eyes were locked on her new teacher's. Professor Acher...what a nice name! Ryu smiled shyly. The professor took attendance, and Ryu patiently awaited her name to be called. This was going to be the best semester ever, Ryu just knew it!

"OK, now that that's done, let's get on with the lesson. Now, let's start today with a little question: Does anyone know how we think this world was formed?" Acher looked around. It looked like there were a couple of smart kids that might know the awnser and a coule that looked like they had no idea.
'Now, let's see what I have to work with' She thought.

Ryu blinked. She had read about this, and she thought she actually knew the answer! Her hand shot up, but she could barely wait to be called upon. Finally, after a couple seconds, she couldn't take the waiting anymore. "That Arceus formed it with his one thousand arms?" She blurted, lowering her hand, embarrassed. She used it to cover her mouth, thinking about how she was just going to get herself in more trouble than ever.
But, with her, that was to be expected.
OOC (out-of-character, for those who did not know): What she said I stole from Arceus' Pokedex entry in...Diamond, I think. Eheheh...

Acher looked at Ryu Hunter, a little suprised that she had been the on ti awnser the question, but smiled at her none to less.
"Very good Ryu. And do you know how time started to flow and space got it's start?" Let's see if the girl could go 2 for 2.

Ryu took her hands away from her mouth, and smiled shyly again. She had gotten it right! Now, could she do it again? She thought about the question deeply, then thought she knew the answer again. "Time began its flow when Arceus created Dialga, and space began when Arceus created Palkia. Arceus also created Giratina to control the reverse side of our world, and the three lake spirits, Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf, that controlled emotions, memories, and willpower respectively."
Looks like reading up on Pokemon mythology had really paid off!

Acher's jaw dropped, and the majiority of the students turned to stare at the new student. She had never dreamed that the girl's awnser would be that detailed. After a moment, Acher shook her head a little and smiled at Ryu again. "Very good Ryu."
The next hour flew by, Ryu awnsering a good ammount of the questions Cora asked. As the bell rang and the student's gethered their stuff, Cora called out "No homework tonight, but expect some tommrrow." Then she saw Ryu and called her over.

Ryu smiled happily, glad to be recognized for her good answer. She had felt a little shier than usual when everyone stared at her, even the Professor, but she got over it, answering most of the questions, but leaving some to the other students. There was no homework, which Ryu felt neutral about, but she was almost excited about the work for tomorrow. She was just about to walk out the door when Professor Acher called her over. She walked up to her teacher, smiling.
"You called, Professor?" She asked, keeping her smile. She hoped she wasn't in trouble for blurting out, and she became very nervous about being in trouble on her first day.

As the girl walked ove she looked terrified.
"Heh, don't be scared, you're not in trouble." Ryu seemed to perk up a little once she said that. "I just wanted to know how you know so much about pokemon history?"

Ryu relaxed. She wasn't in trouble for once! Her teacher just wanted to know how she knew so much. Ryu's smile fell a little. "I come from the country, and I don't know many people here. In other words, I don't have many friends," Ryu said, a bit of loneliness in her tone. "It gives me a lot of free time, and I use that free time to learn about Pokemon. I was reading up on Sinnoh history recently...so...yeah. That's how I, um, knew so much." She finished with a lonely sigh, and she stared at the floor.

Acher smiled softly at the student in front of her. "Well, I'm suprised you remembered it all. and don't worry about not having many friends, that will be fixed in time. Now you can go, I just wanted to ask. Keep up the good work."

Ryu looked back at her teacher, her smile returning. She nodded, having a bit of pride at her achievement. "Thank you, Professor! I will!" Then, her smile wide, she ran out the door, knowing her promise, but just ready to go make some friends.
